Edinburgh

I flew up to Edinburgh to visit Brendan and Sophie for my second weekend in the UK. Brendan picked me up for the airport and Soph arrived home arms laidened with cheese - she had visited their local cheese monger! How I have missed excellent cheese as well...

Soph had Friday off work in order for the gas man to visit. Unfortunately he arrived unannounced just before we got back from coffee... so we were free for the rest of the day. We had lunch in the park before walking around Edinburgh trying to find me some shoes... I only have thongs/flipflops and a pair of heels... but to no success...

On Saturday we went to Edinburgh beach... not quite Coogee.... didnt stay long! However on the way we passed a Malaysian restaurant. This was a big deal, maybe the only Malaysian restaurant in Edinburgh, so the hopes of good laksa in Edinburgh lay heavily on this establishment! Soph had a massage and Brendan and I went to their local. Lovely afternoon!

On Sunday we headed off to St Andrews, home of the first golf course! We walked around the ruins of the Cathedral, along the beachfront, past ruins of the castle and the golf course. Very beautiful town, lots of sunshine and wonderful company.

I flew out to Oslo the following day!
