Samui

I flew into Bangkok, only to find Dan was in Pattaya with the boys, so after a shower and a nap I flew to Samui, no point being in Bangkok if everyone I know are elsewhere.

Luckily Thursday was a fairly calm day weather-wise and our landing was very smooth - Dennis had warned me some flights were not able to land thanks to the early arrival of the rainy season. A new airport had been built in the last 6 months, its all very modern but lacking in the charm of the old airport..... and needs shuttles buses to get anywhere, even out of the airport.....

Dennis collected me and suggested we head to Mikes for dinner. He then proceeded to tell me he didn't want a big night..... I was a little confused as to why we were going to Mikes then, I don't think Dennis has ever remembered leaving that place. Luckily enough for Dennis' sobriety Mike was in Phuket so after one drink we headed to another restaurant and had a lovely meal. After dinner we headed back for a bottle of wine on the balcony before some much needed sleep.

Friday is Pans day off so I met up with her and Dee for lunch before heading to Aouns shop for an afternoon of massages, facials, hair treatments and the like. In the evening I caught up with Kai and Bia for a drink before heading over to Soi Green Mango for a dance.

Saturday started with lunch in Fishermans village before a couple of bottles of wine at Saboey, and ended at Q Bar which has thankfully improved the ventilation so I was actually able to breath... a fun very drunken night.

And today the sun is out so I think I will take advantage of it and go for a swim, I don't know that I will see much more of it while I'm here.
