So Dad cooked risotto tonight and now my jaw is hurting from eating my first non-liquid meal in 5 days. It was wonderful to eat something other than ice cream, but I think I will try pumpkin soup tomorrow.
On vineyard related news, as we are in the middle of spring, everything is growing and I mean everything, weeds, vines, grass.... I slashed the grass, the weeds have been sprayed which leaves the vines, young vines need to be trained and all vines need to be de-suckered. I've been de-suckering today. Removing the shoots that grow the base of the vines. It hasn't been fun, every time I bend down to pull out the suckers my jaw throbbed. I didn't have apinkeillers with me, but managed to find some cold and flu tablets in the car which cantained both paracetamol and codine. That made things signifcantly better. I really did prefer driving the tractor yesterday its didn't hurt at all. Tomorrow will be training young vines, which should be a lot easier on the jaw!
