I had dinner with my father last week and he graciously shared with me the flu that has been doing the rounds of Sydney - which I had managed not to get from both my grandparent, various aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Thanks Dad.
I did finally watch Pirates 2. However I am now not inclined to rush off and see Pirates 3. A friend told me that although the reviews were bad, she thought it was excellent, however I think she is biased (sorry Phoebz).
I have felt so bad that I havent had a single alcoholic drink in four days. I cant remember the last I stopped drinking for so long because of illness. Once in Oxford I lost my voice after a night out, so I decided I would stay off the beers for a while. After a few days with no improvement I went back to the pub. The next morning I woke up and could speak. Obviously I had left my voice there on my last visit.....
