LuangPraBang

We spent a few days relaxing in the gorgeous LuangPraBang, mainly just chilling out, but we also did the Wat tour, saw the waterfall, took a boat to the Pak Ou cave, all the things I didnt do on my first trip with Mother and Xanthe. The Wats were lovely, the waterfall was pretty but nothing spectacular and the cave was interesting.

We also ate a lot... Choco was in heaven with all the pastry shops, we tried a few of the local delicacies, and some rubbish western food - even Choco preferred the Lao food. We went to two really lovely Lao restaurant which were rather expensive at around $US10 for the two of us. We spent two evenings searching for a restaurant that was raved about in both the guide books we posses - but have decided it no longer exists or is in the middle of a huge renovation.

We also got lots of "offers"..... On the first night, I went back to the hotel to get something warm to wear and on the way was offered "smoke" then "boomboom" and finally "boomboom, no pay smoke", all out the front of a Wat! I declined. If it was no pay beer then maybe but smoke...... The number of tuktuk drivers who sidle up beside you in the evening and ask if you want to go somewhere or if you want "something" or "smoke"....

Not sure what else happened, I was too relaxed to remember....

You know, I still only look at the pictures, Mose. Words are just too much for me. But the photos are really nice! And warm looking.
