I hope everyone enjoyed the Silly Season! Ive been back in Ko Samui since returning from Cambodia. My days are always full, however, Im not really sure what Ive been doing.
Just before we flew back from Cambodia I emailed Colin to see if we could stay a night at his place as we were getting the last flight from Bangkok and didn’t want to look for somewhere to stay at 10:30 at night – a new employee of Dennis’ had moved into my room. Colin then emailed the boys and told them I would be staying for about a month! His house is amazing and he told us to make full use of his bar. The bar was well stocked, not to mention the soft fridge – full of water and a few mixers, the harder fridge – full of beer and the wine fridge… the boys continually restock the fridges... its a hard life! We have a scooter to ride around and the use of a car if needed. Darkling also lives with us, he is a 1 yo shitzu. His name is generally mistaken for "Darling", but it is actually Thai for Monkey Arse... Colins sense of humour.
Colins house - it is nicely private

Colin came home from the Rig for a week and it was our job to drink with him. A job we performed with relish. We had a wonderful time but my liver was thankful Colin was only home for a week!
Christmas came and went, it was enjoyable and very relaxing, not like the usual family get-to-gethers, had a lovely Roast at The Pub followed by a visit to the house of some friends of friends and dancing then at Green Mango. Most clubs in Samui must close at 2am - with the exception of a few "restaurants" which are allowed to open until much later - luckily I have never been to those at closing time, but I think it might be 7am. However, on Christmas and NYE all clubs were allowed to stay open all night. So I have no idea what time we went home.....
Just after Christmas Choco celebrated his birthday. That night we went to Ark Bar on the beach for some drinks with friends, we then went to Green Mango for a dance, however this is a little hazy as we didn't really eat all day. The following day I took him to the Mangrove for dinner and then to Mint Bar in Green Mango to see Evil 9.
NYE was lots of fun, starting with a BBQ at an amazing house on the hill overlooking Bang Rak Bay and Koh Phangan in the distance, prefect view for the fireworks being let off all over the island. Choco and I then headed Ark Bar on the beach to meet up with Pan and Co. Dan and Scotty from Wagga also made an appearance. More fireworks and surprise, surprise finished the night with more dancing.
A full moon occurred on the 3rd of Jan, and we decided Dan and Scotty should experience at least one Full Moon Party so we headed over to Koh Phangan. Fun, but very drunken! Some more so than others, while carrying a 6’7” guy from sunrise beach to sunset beach to get the speedboat to Koh Samui, I received some strange looks! Both our phones died in the water and we both lost our thongs/flipflops.... interesting night.
