After the full moon Party it was decided that we should take a break from alcohol, a strange thing to do when you are on holiday but well needed. It was only for a week and while we didnt even manage to stay sober the whole time (due to Dee celebrating her birthday), we were able to enjoy more of the day.
Taking advantage of the extended day light hours we took a day trip south, well to the southern end of the Island - its only 30 min drive, but emotionally its a long way! We trekked up to the top of the waterfall for some beautiful views. There were many pools at the top, it was very pretty. The waterfall itself is 80 m tall and quiet impressive by Thai standards. On the way home, and being all the way down in Lamai we decided to stop by Grandmother and Grandfather rocks. We found Grandfather, but not Grandmother...... The ocean was showing strength rarely seem at most beaches on Samui.

We also made use of Colins house, cooking at home regularly. We invited Pan to dinner twice. Initially I was a little concerned about cooking Thai for Pan, but she told me she doesnt cook herself and really enjoyed the meals. I was going to cook up some western food one night, but its very difficult to get all the ingredients, where as there is an abundance of asian ingredients and its all so incredible cheap. Our meals with Pan were lovely, Choco who normally has trouble understanding and being understood by Thais in general, was able to chat with Pan quite easily without all the background noise associated with bars and restaurants.
I have also started playing tennis in the morning, at 7:30, which is greatly aided by not drinking! I have played a few time with Dennis but needed some extra practice as I havent played in about 15 years so Choco and I went twice in the afternoon as well, unfortunately the last afternoon game saw me twist my ankle within 5 min of starting so I wont be playing tennis with either boy for a while.
Heading to Ko Tao an island north of Ko Phangan, I will miss Colins house, but with my ankle the way it is I will not miss all 4 stories... there are too many stairs here!!!
