We are still waiting to get the last of the grapes off, the rain keeps pushing it back, dropping the sugars and hence the ripeness.... We were finished 6 weeks ago last year..... Hopefully we can get them off very soon.

Does it mess with the vines, if the grapes stay on for too long?
Depends on the sort of wine you want. Botrytis develops if the conditions are right/wrong...
We did get the rest of the reds off and I think there are still some Sauvignon Blanc on, which we want botrytis in.
