We tried to picked some Shiraz and Tempranillo today. And are meant to machine harvest more Shiraz tonight.
We have also had more rain in the last 24 hrs than we have had since Dec 2007.
Therefore we didn't get the Tempranillo picked and wont be able to machine harvest the Shiraz. The guys decided to stop with the Temp and the winery wont let us machine harvest as it will drop the Baume (sugar, hence alcohol content) by 2.
It is nice to get the rain. Just hope it dries out soon otherwise we will get disease.
Whinging farmers. Never happy.
Although it was lovely to walk through the rain!
